The parameters of high-frequency audiometry were studied in 80 patients at the age of 25-40 years with tympanic otosclerosis in order to timely detect the sensorineural component, as well as determine the reaction of the inner ear to surgery. We studied the parameters of the high-frequency audiometry range for bone sound conduction. According to our observations, the highest increase in thresholds at high-frequencies was observed in patients with otosclerosis with a descending level of the bone conduction curve in the usual frequency range. The degree of reduction of hearing in the high- frequency range did not depend on the duration of the disease. In the presence of elevated thresholds in high frequencies in patients in the preoperative period, their further deterioration after surgery was observed. Whereas in patients with normal threshold values audiometry in the extended frequency range at high frequencies prior to surgery, postoperative abnormalities were not observed.
