Аннотация

Currently, despite the progress in the comprehensive study of the etiology and pathogenesis of infectious and inflammatory complications, the improvement of the known and the development of new methods of treating the patients with jaw fracture, a significant reduction in the incidence of their occurrence was not achieved. Often, nutritional insufficiency, which is observed in patients in the period of immobilization and after the removal of splints is one reason of the immune defences and occurrence of complications, prolonged healing of wounds and period of disability. Although all clinicians notice this condition, there are only a few publications in the scientific literature, the methods for examining the nutritional status of these studies are very simple. Considering these cases, we briefly describe modern methods of assessing the nutritional status and body composition of patients, have a perspective for correcting abnormalities and metabolic rates in this contingent of patients.
