Аннотация
In the recent year the number of injuries with maxillofacial trauma has significantly increased in all countries of the world is. Despite the continuous improvement of the treatment methods of jaw fractures, the periods of immobilization and temporary disability are not reduced, and the incidence of inflammatory complications remains high, which significantly worsens the outcome of trauma. At the same time, little attention is paid to nutritional insufficiency of patients, which is the cause of decreased immunity, a weakening of the body’s defenses, an increased risk of complications, prolonged healing of wounds and bones and other changes.
This review article examines the studies conducted on the nutrition of patients with the jaw fractures and gives brief information about main points of this researches.
