In pursuance of the decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan №PP-3271 dated September 13, 2017 “On the program of Comprehensive Measures for the Development of the System of Publication and Distribution of Book Products, improving the Culture of Reading” special attention is paid to continuing the reading traditions of our people, raising the reading culture of the population, especially the youth. The article describes the meaning and role of the “Club of readers” of information and library institutions in popularizing and promoting the culture of reading.
