Аннотация

В Китае садовые камни пользовались популярностью более тысячи лет во всех слоях общества –от поэтов и художников до императоров. Их размещали в садах и на письменных столах, часто изображали на картинах. На протяжении многих столетий эстетика этих камней была темой специального дискурса. Написано множество трактатов по истории искусства, рассказывающих о том, что делает эти камни такими популярными, созданы руководства по их сбору. Хорошо известно, что в Восточной Азии культура почитания камней распространилась по территориям,которые имели торговые и политические отношения с Китаем, и изображения этих камней до сих пор можно увидеть в Корее, Японии и Вьетнаме. Однако сведений о том, что эти камни также распространились на Запад, гораздо меньше, отчасти из-за устойчивого евро-центричного взгляда на искусство исламского мира. В этой статье рассматривается значение китайских садовых камней в средневековом персидском изобразительном искусстве. С помощью синкретического подхода к доказательствам автор демонстрирует существование самобытной культуры камней в Китае.Затем, сплетая воедино поэзию, фарфор и ландшафтную архитектуру, он исследует изображение камней на средневековых персидских миниатюрах, стремясь установить, как и почему произошел этот культурный обмен между Китаем и Ираном.
